Fee to be paid to obtain service Following documents shall be submitted, when abstract of deeds will be submitted
  • Abstracts of deed should be completed by attorney at law. And be submitted together with copies of deeds and plan, to the office before 2.45 p.m. on working days, within 03 months.
  • When submitting the abstract of deed, the deed, which confirms the little which shall be registered in the department of land registry and originals of relevant plan and deed shall be submitted to the office. The abstract of deed will be taken over, only following the verification of originals of deeds. If original copy was banked for a debenture a copy which was verified by the bank shall be submitted. If title was transferred by declaration of deed, 10 years period shall have been completed for that declaration of deed.
  • As per the provisions in western province monetary ordinance no.06 of 1990, in transferring immovable properties in the province stamp duty shall be paid, according to the trade value of that property. According seal of the department of in land revenue shall have been placed to confirm, that the deed was executed after 31.03.2013 on the deed, which was executed after 31.03.2013.
  • The abstracts of deed shall be completed according to the plan number and date, extent of land boundaries and relevant plan (Survey Plan) and a photocopy of original plan and a photocopy of relevant plan shall be submitted along with the application.
  • If there is a sub division in land blocks a photocopy of plan, which was approved by the municipal council shall be submitted together with the application. In transferring flats to owner separately, a copy of approved condominium plan shall be submitted.
  • Names of owners, according to the assessment register of Municipal Council shall be equipment to name of grantor whose name mentioned in the deed. If not equipment, it should be submitted by a detailed pedigree, prepared by a notary or folios together with relationship. Deed number and number of purchase. If it was mentioned “as” “owner” in the assessment register, a pedigree not less than 35 years shall be submitted. In case of assessment number is not known, a pedigree not less than 35 years (at this instance that it is not a government grant) shall also be submitted. A copy of National Identity Card of new owner shall be submitted.
  • Address of current residence shall be mentioned in the column “Name and Address of grantee” of the abstract of deed. All documents will be posted to that address.
  • Assessment number and road of the land shall be mentioned a notice which assessment was paid for that property. Shall be attached. If the property mentioned in your deed, is a part of the property mentioned in your deed, is a part of the property, mentioned under the existing assessment number, It should be mentioned clearly.
  • Arrears assessment tax shall have been paid up to existing quarter.
  • Certified folios, extracted from the land registry office shall be submitted, whenever necessary.
  • It a bare land, which was sold by an auctioneer or a broche, 1% of the amount shall be paid.
  • It a bare land, tax for undeveloped lands might be paid.
  • Registration fee shall be paid as follows, according to the annual estimated value.
