A recycling centre to collect tins, cardboard, glass bottles, plastic bottles, polythene, coconut shells etc. released into the environment was held on 29th and 30th July 2023 in the area adjacent to the Welikada Police Station.
This activity was organized by the Municipal Health Department of Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Council as a solution to the dengue disease which is spreading rapidly throughout Kotte area.
