An 'Environment Fair' organized by the Municipal Health Department of the Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Municipal Council was held on 2^nd June 2022 near Maternity and Children's Clinic in Nugegoda Kattiya Junction and on 5^th June 2022 at the Chandra Silva Ground, Obeysekarapura, Rajagiriya.

Disposable polythene, glass, coconut shells, tin, iron, aluminium, paper, books, newspapers, cardboard, electrical and electronic waste used in homes, business premises and workplaces were donated to this fair.

This is a social service implemented by the Kotte Municipal Council to control dengue.

A blood donation campaign organized by Nugegoda Public Library was held on 28^th April 2022 at the Library premises. This was conducted by the Librarian Mr. M.S.N. Perera. The collected blood were donated to Apeksha Hospital Maharagama.

A large number of Sri Lanka Army personnel also contributed by donating.

Hon. Colombo District Minister of Parliament Attorney-at-Law Madura Vithanage, Hon. Mayor of Kotte Mr. I.M.V Premalal and other Municipal Councilors, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. R.A. Shalika S. Ranaweera, Assistant Municipal Secretary Mrs. Nilmini Rawanaella and Chief Librarian of Kotte Mr. Sujeewa Fernando were present.

The Veterinary Clinic jointly organized by the Sri Lanka Veterinary Association and the Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Municipal Council was held on 28^th April 2022 at the Municipal Council premises.

The Kotte Municipal Council provided free school exercise books to school children by assisting them in their education under the patronage of Hon. Mayor of Kotte Mr. I.M.V. Premalal on 02.04.2022.

Exercise books were distributed at Bandaranayakepura Hall, Moragasmulla Reading Hall, Nawala Work Unit, Obeysekarapura, Pita Kotte, Maligawa Road, Chapel Road, Gangodawila Divisional Offices.
