A dog sterilization clinic organized under the theme of 'A rabies-free Capital City' was held on 01-12-2022 at the Municipal Veterinary Department of Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte Municipal Council.

This program was conducted by the Municipal Veterinary Officer Dr. (Mrs) Ruvini M. S. Pimburage.

This was implemented as an animal population control pilot project.

A Technical Workshop was held on 26^th November 2022 at the Nugegoda Public Library in collaboration with Gawesha Lab.

Held for children above the age of 10, they were given an understanding of how to create an electrical circuit that radiates decorative light patterns. Children were happy to participate to this.

This workshop was organized according to a proposal made by Nugegoda Public Librarian Mr. M. S. N. Perera.

The Nugegoda Public Library has taken steps to facilitate access to the building for the disabled community to use its public library.

The Nugegoda Public Library staff is engaged in a friendly mission to help meet their library needs.

These activities are implemented under the leadership of Nugegoda Public Librarian Mr. M. S. N. Perera.

On the occasion of the National Reading Month, an awareness program called 'Learn to learn' organized jointly by the Nugegoda Public Library and its readers' club was held at the Nugegoda Public Library on 16-11-2022.

The program was conducted by Dr. Mrs. K.R.N. Harshani, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science Education, University of Kelaniya.

This was held as per a proposal made by Nugegoda Public Librarian Mr. M.S.N. Perera.

An eye examination program under the theme “පොත් අපේ නෙත් වගේ - ඇස් රැකගෙන පොත් කියවමු” was held on 30^th October 2022 at Rajagiriya Central Library.

Readers had an opportunity to test their eyes. This program was implemented under the guidance of Mr. Sujeewa Fernando, Chief Librarian of Kotte.

Hon. Municipal Councillor Mr. Densil Padmasiri and Mr. A. M. H. Perera, Chief Librarian of Kotte Mr. Sujeewa Fernando and Rajagiriya Central Library staff joined this occassion.
